Originally from Cleveland, Ohio Lauren Steiner attended beauty school at age 19. Shortly after, she studied Radio,
TV and Film at Ohio University, and moved back to Cleveland worked in production on several films including
Air Force One. She became involved with the founding of Cleveland Filmmakers and later became its co-director.
She co-produced and directed The Untitled Parker Posey Project which screened at the 1998 Cleveland International
Film Festival. She currently teaches a course called City in Film at Cleveland State University, which explores
films set in urban environments.
